I always make my bed first thing in the morning. It feels like you have already achieved something. Sets the perspective for the day. Psychologically it helps build a routine and discipline.
The task is pretty simple and basic. However every complex task should be broken into simple pieces. Many of us get anxious when tackling complex issues. If we take a moment and step back we can visualize the process in steps. This reduces stress and in turn boosts motivation to accomplish the task.
